- Ardtornish OSHC is housed in bright modern accommodations with a wealth of resources. Our programs are child focused.
Here at Ardtornish OSHC we believe learning through play is key for fostering development and assists children in reaching their full potential.
We provide enjoyable and diverse activities in a safe, caring and supportive environment that both encourages and stimulates each child's growth and development. By applying Vygotsky’s more knowledgeable other model (MKO) we harness each one of our educators’ unique skills to create an intentional teaching environment that values reflection diversity growth and inclusion. This culture fosters acceptance, collaboration, and mutual respect, supporting the program while promoting personal growth and enabling children to explore and express their interest both within and beyond the program.
Programming for children is documented via our Individual Learning Experiences (I.L.E's) and can be found both via the programming folders located near the sign in desk, or any time upon request. Group learning experiences are also captured via weekly reflections and can be found both in our programming book and are released on Audiri throughout the year.
Ardtornish OSHC believes Reconciliation is vital to supporting and enriching Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and aims to foster connections between Ardtornish OSHC and the communities of the Adelaide Plains (Kaurna Country). We will work toward building authentic relationships to create an inclusive environment where children and families feel safe, supported, and respected. This is reflected in the services Reconciliation Action Plan.
